My newest Central Oregon area fine art photography exhibit is at the Depot Cafe in Sisters, Oregon. In general, I prefer to deal with temporary art galleries/exhibits rather than with traditional galleries and my newest “Art Gallery” is a good one! I’ve eaten at the Depot Cafe, formerly known as the Depot Deli dozens of times and the food has always been excellent. In addition to burgers and other hot sandwiches, they have an extensive menu of tasteful yet reasonably priced cafe food.
I recently met Pam and Chris, owners of the Depot Cafe. They are great folks who I’m certain will continue to be successful in the competitive Central Oregon dining world. I’ll soon install some museum quality art lighting to better display my current landscape photography exhibit at the Depot Cafe. Below is a photo of my landscape photos that are on display there as of 1/24/11.
Three of my favorite images are on display at the temporary art gallery at the Depot Cafe. They include “Aspen Leaves”, “Sparks Lake Sunrise”, and “Alpine Stream”. I hope to rotate my art through the Depot Cafe fairly regularly, so if you are passing through Sisters, or if you are a Sisters area resident, stop by, enjoy the art and get some great food!
I don’t know many of the staff members at the cafe, but Matt has helped me several times and he has been very kind and efficient. Below is a shot of the “Engine Room” at the depot, where the magic happens!
If you’d like more information regarding current offerings and events at the Depot Cafe, visit their Facebook Page. Thanks for reading and if you are in the Sisters, Oregon area, stop in to the Depot Cafe and enjoy yourself.
All the Best,
Mike Putnam
