I am excited to announce the release of two brand new fine art landscape photos during Bend Oregon’s First Friday Art Walk (8/2/19). I will be sharing my fine art landscape prints at Patagonia at Bend, located at 1000 NW Wall Street. I’ve done countless First Friday shows with the good folks of Patagonia but I’m especially excited about this one.
One of my favorite locations on Oregon’s extraordinary Coast is the community of Cannon Beach and it’s famous Haystack Rock. Last winter, i was fortunate enough to travel to Cannon Beach, have excellent weather and capture this stunning Cannon Beach fine art print.
Winter weather on the Oregon Coast is always a gamble. Pristine forecasts often give way to drizzly overcast skies at the last minute.
During the weekend I visited Cannon beach, the forecast was balmy with a likelihood of light clouds and no precipitation… the perfect forecast for a fine art landscape photographer!
The weather did in fact end up being virtually perfect. A Gorgeous layer of buttermilk clouds fanned out to the north while the first light of morning slipped in underneath the cloud layer, providing the elusive but desirable underlit lighting which fine art photographers crave.
It was a magical morning for landscape photography from one of my favorite places on Oregon’s Coast.
The second of the two new fine art landscape photos that I will release was captured in Southeast Oregon in the famed Alvord
Desert. This Alvord Desert fine art print was captured on the dried bed of Alvord Lake, whose alkali waters contributed to the surreal, mosaic like patterns in this new fine art landscape print.
You definitely need to see the framed fine art print of this image to fully appreciate the detail of the ground and the glow of the surreal, lenticular cloud formation which I was fortunate enough to capture as the sun set on this austere and amazing place.
I hope to see some of you readers at Patagonia of Bend, on 8/2/19 between 5-8PM!
