Broken Top Wildflowers

Three Sisters Wilderness Area, Oregon Cascades

Broken Top Wildflowers. This beautiful new Oregon landscape photograph of 9,177 foot tall Broken Top Mountain was captured high in the Three Sisters Wilderness Area.  Broken Top Mountain is a hikers paradise which has several different personalities, depending on one’s hiking approach. Broken Top Trail is high and dry with wildflower laden stream scattered along the hike to No-Name Lake which offers reflections of Broken Top Mountain on windless days. The perspective captured in this new fine art landscape photograph is from the north side of the mountain. I enjoy the lush, pink  monkeyflowers (Mimulus lewisii) and red Indian paintbrush with the tumbling alpine stream which lends a leading line extending towards Broken Top’s towering spire. while offering a sense of depth to finished fine art prints of this beautiful Oregon landscape photograph.
