I make an annual pilgrimage to the amazing Portland Japanese Garden every autumn, in hopes of catching it at its technicolor best. during my most recent, I had hoped to capture a new composition of the famous Japanese Maple Tree which resides at the garden. I was thrilled to find the garden at the peak of fall color. I wondered around for hours and was especially smitten with the fall color surrounding the famed Moon Bridge which crosses the pond in the garden.

Oregon is blessed with an abundance of fall color. The beautiful Metolius River, Central Oregon Aspen Groves, Riparian areas along the Deschutes River are all stunning a the Portland Japanese Garden is a must visit destination for fall color in the Portland area.
